NETS for Administrators:
- read through the nets for administrators and determine which items will or will not work for WCSU
- evaluate and prioritize the ones you think will work, no need to reinvent the wheel
- generate a rubric to assess our administrators' effectiveness in these areas
About the WCSU District Technology Committee
Charge:
The WCSU Technology Committee is charged with evaluating and influencing the state and direction of technology education and opportunities throughout the schools in WCSU.
Role:
This committee will function as an Advisory Committee to the WCSU Systems Administrator
Membership:
- The committee will be facilitated by the WCSU Systems Administrator
- Membership will consist of one or two representatives from each school, two representatives from the board, and one additional member of the WCSU office staff
- Members will be appointed by the principals, board chair, and Superintendent respectively (Think about what collection of members will be most engaged and productive in terms of the charge of the committee)
Meetings:
- Regular meeting dates and times will be determined at the first meeting
- A note taker will be appointed
- Agendas and notes will be posted on the WCSU web site and e-mailed to committee members and principals
Agenda (not necessarily limited to, and in no particular order):
Technology GEs, Technology Integration, Technology Planning, E-Rate Management, Latest technologies, Assistive Technologies, Group purchasing, Individual school resources, Security and maintenance, Professional Development, School Information System, E-Mail system
